Amelia Earhart

Amelia Mary Earhart was the first female aviator to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to breaking many other records, Earhart was an accomplished author, was known for promoting the practice of commercial flying, and helped create The Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots.
