A computer programmer working for the genetics company InGen, Dennis Nedry found himself in financial trouble after inadequate pay during the Jurassic Park project. Due to this and John Hammond’s dismissive attitude, Nedry agreed to work with InGen’s rivals Biosyn to steal dinosaur embryos in an effort to grant the genetics company an edge in the burgeoning market of genetically modified animals.
