Prior to the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., Maria Hill was the Deputy Director of the organization. As Nick Furys second-in-command, Commander Hill oversaw much of the daily operations of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was an incredible asset to not only S.H.I.E.L.D., but Fury and the Avengers as well.
